HIGHER, STRONGER AND BETTER. Just when Krizziah Tabora thought that she was done breaking her personal bests through the PBF-PAGCOR Philippine International Open, she bowled an 812 last night and now has a combined total of 1606 – the highest that we’ve seen in the tournament so far!

“Hindi ko na alam kung paano ito nangyayari,” comments a very shocked Krizziah, who days ago achieved a 3-game series of 794 – a record which she thought would be her highest for a long time.

“Naglaro lang talaga ako tonight for practice, ito’y extra practice for consistency. Di ko inakala na I’ll bowl my first 800 sa tournament. Siyempre, sobrang happy ako. Gusto ko nang ipakita ito [picture of her scores] sa mga magulang ko!”

Asked which areas of her game she been working on in order to meet the expectations of the Philippine bowling community, which escalated after her World Cup win, Krizziah replies, “Ang naging focus ko ay ang strengthening and conditioning ko. Mahalaga iyan para sa maka-achieve ng consistency sa sport.”

And, how does she deal with bad days? “Kung nangyayari iyan sa akin, nagtiyatiyaga lang ako. Kasi kapag pinabayaan mo lang ang tira mo, pwede kang mag-develop ng bad habits. Dapat walang itinatapon na shot.”Thanks for once again reminding us that IT can be done, Krizziah. Keep that fire burning!
