17th Sletba Open set Oct. 5-13
MANILA, Philippines–Players from the national pool and various associations in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will pit their skills and talent in the 17th Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) Open Championship.
The annual tournament, which is sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC), rolls off on Saturday, Oct. 5, and will run through Oct. 13 at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal.
More than P400,000 in prizes are up for grabs for the winners in the Masters, Graded, Associate, Mixed Ladies, and Seniors divisions. Trophies specially designed for this event by SLETBA president Jun Bulaong will also be given to the winners.
Apple Posadas of PBAP-Bowlmart won last year’s Masters division to become the first four-time winner of the Sletba Open. She will be defending her title against a tough field composed of veteran and young players hungry to wrest her crown.
